Free and Independent Travel

Free and independent travel, or business that is not part of a package or group.

A significant surge in services solely dedicated to help a traveler plan its trip, resulted to the rise of the independent traveler, as they significantly simplified planning and traveling. This cultural change diminished the need for traditional travel agencies and group packages, as they have far less appeal. Younger generations especially, prefer a ‘not- so- planned’ experience as they believe it doesn’t really let them to fully absorb and experience a destination.

FIT planners have usually above average incomes, enjoy to plan their own trips, they sometime use travel agents and range from millennials to retirees.
